Our Party

The Guadalupe County Democratic Party is inclusive and welcoming to new members. We believe that government should be the servant — not the master – of the people. We believe in human rights over corporate rights.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Guadalupe County Democratic Party is to elect public officeholders who support our community values: equality, opportunity, security, responsibility, freedom, and justice.

To achieve these goals, we support free and fair elections, the removal of restrictions on the right to vote, the inherent right of women to be free from government interference with their personal liberty, equal justice for all minorities, economic security for our younger and older citizens, and good stewardship of our environment.

Our Precinct Chairs

see list with contact info. Precinct Chairs are party officials with two-year terms. They are responsible for organizing and getting out the Democratic votes in their precinct. Guadalupe County Democrats believe that each person living in the County is a unique and valuable member of our community.
We believe that each individual has the inherent right to realize their own potential without discrimination due to race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, personal beliefs, or economic status.

We believe in individual freedom, equal rights, equal opportunity, mutual responsibility, good stewardship, economic security, and justice.

We believe that all elected and appointed officeholders at all levels of government have an affirmative duty to the people of Guadalupe County, our state, and our nation to support these values.

Party Bylaws and Rules

The Guadalupe County Democratic Party is governed by the Rules of the Texas Democratic Party. They set forth the process for electing local party officials, including Precinct Chairs, and rules applying to all levels of the Democratic Party, including committees and sub-committees. The Guadalupe County Democratic Party has also adopted additional rules, bylaws, and official policies by vote of the Guadalupe County Democratic Party Executive Committee.
